Camellia: 1820m

This Camellia burnt down during the atomic bombing on August 6, 1945. Afterwards however, buds sprang from the roots, and it recovered. Char marks are still visible on the roots, a testimony of its exposure to the blast. It was moved to its present location when the new main hall was built in 1974.
